Production Operative

About the Role

Reporting to Production Supervisors, you will be operating high speed filling equipment with prime responsibility for maximising output efficiencies, consistent with the maintenance of strict quality, hygiene and safety standards.

Schedule:
Hours of operation between 5am and Midnight dependent on role and shift. We have various roles available across the production facility.
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:
• Blackpool, FY3 9EU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the production team, (including mixing products, labelling boxes, packing on the production line) to see through the manufacturing of out product from initial ingredient pick to picking, loading & dispatching of completed orders.
  • Ensure all daily departmental duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain high standards of house keeping and organisation within the department
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the manager or supervisor
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role
  • Work within a designated department in a position within the team as designated by the Supervisor/Manager

Desired Skills & Experience

  • You must be able to demonstrate a good level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • You’ll be a team player with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to do your very best.
  • You will be reliable, conscientious, and able to work on their own initiative
  • Flexible, Committed and punctuality
  • Previous experience within a food manufacturing facility would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
