Tequila Trends Report 2022

Tequila is calling the shots. Once a little-respected party spirit, the Mexican drink is now one of just a handful of spirits to be growing in the UK market.

Its versatility, comparative health benefits, and mass appeal along with celebrity endorsements and premiumisation are fuelling this drinks trend.

Both tequila and mezcal – both rich flavoured agave-based spirits – are appealing to drinkers. Flavoured tequila and flavoured mezcal are helping this, creating sippable short drinks or new pre-mixed cocktails.
