Elmer’s Big Parade - Blackpool

Simpson’s Beverages supports arts trail charity fundraiser

Simpsons Beverages is honoured to be an official sponsor of Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool – an unforgettable elephant-themed arts event.

We are supporting Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool as it brings a herd of life-sized elephant sculptures to the seaside town. The art trail will be showcasing artists and supporting a local charity, Brian House Children’s Hospice.

We have sponsored the design, decoration, and installation of one of 30+ unique sculptures inspired by the patchwork elephant from children’s books, Elmer. These will make up Blackpool’s first ever arts trail before being auctioned off to raise funds for Brian House.

Caleb Simpson, managing director of Simpson’s Beverages, said: “We’re honoured to be supporting something that’s not only exciting for Blackpool but also raising funds for an incredible charity. Brian House’s work is life-changing for children and families in our area. Our hometown is famed for its link to the arts so we’re pleased we can use our work to support free, accessible events for residents.

“We believe in using our business for good – contributing every month to charitable causes as part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility.
“We’re excited to see the Elmers go up around Blackpool and hope they share a positive message about diversity, inclusivity, creativity and community.”

Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool will be live across the resort between April 13th and June 9th. The free public event will also include 37 ‘Young’ Elmers designed and painted by children and young people from local schools and youth groups. It is expected to be seen by 250,000 visitors, contributing around £1.5m to the local economy before raising an estimated £110,000 for Brian House Children’s Hospice.

The specialist children’s hospice offers expert care and support for seriously ill or vulnerable children and their families. It is delivering the display in partnership with producers Wild in Art and publisher Andersen Press (Elmer’s brand owner).

Linzi Warburton, Head of Fundraising at Brian House Children’s Hospice: “We’re absolutely thrilled that Simpsons Beverages has joined the herd as a sponsor of one of our incredible and truly unique Elmer sculptures. We can’t wait to see their sponsored sculpture on the trail and watch as it is ‘collected’ by the thousands of trail goers enjoying Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool

“By being involved in our art trail, Simpsons Beverages is helping us to celebrate our town and everything that makes it really special – just like the children we are privileged to care for. We are so grateful to them for their continued support for our charity and for helping us to bring a mammoth amount of fun to Blackpool.”

As Blackpool’s first major art trail, it follows in the footsteps of Liverpool’s famous Lambanana sculpture trail, Manchester’s bee sculptures, and TFL’s Year of the Bus trail around London.

Simpsons Beverages donates to Blackpool Scouts

Our work developing and manufacturing flavours and compounds for drinks brands allows us to donate regularly to charitable causes. Previous charitable commitments have included donating to Marie Curie and the British Heart Foundation nationally along with providing funding for Scouts groups and children’s football kits locally.
